This 233 unit luxury residential building, designed by BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group, was built on the lot behind Gotham Retail Plaza.  The building’s T-shaped design rises above East 126th Street and appears to cantilever over Gotham Retail Plaza on East 125th Street.   The unique façade gently curves upward and inward, resembling the curve of a smile.  The loft-style apartments, ranging from studios to two bedrooms, feature floor to ceiling windows, oversized closets, in-unit washer/dryers, Latch smart entry locks and exposed concrete details.   Residents of The Smile enjoy an outstanding amenity package, including a rooftop pool, hot tubs and barbeques, as well as an outdoor movie theater.  Inside, the spa features a hamam, pedi-soak, sauna, steam room, salt room, cold room and experiential showers as well as a dry relaxation area with massage chairs.  The amenities also include a state-of-the-art fitness center, co-working space, lounge area and game room.
