Overview
The first phase of the project consisted of a complete reskinning the facade of two five-story office buildings. Each building was given a refreshed facade with the installation of high efficiency insulated windows with low – glass, a partial curtain wall system and a new exterior insulation finish system (EIFS).
The second phase of this project included the renovation of the lobby and vestibule of 125 Jericho Turnpike. With the installation of new tile floors, wood wall panels and a floating ceiling, the interior of the building acquired a new-found vibrancy. Also, the existing entry vestibule was demolished and reconstructed to include new windows and a curtain wall.
At the client’s request, BDG was able to complete this construction while both buildings remained fully occupied and operational. By adhering to a self-imposed strict schedule, BDG was able to communicate with the building tenants to minimize business interruption and to precisely execute this project.
